We, as the External Relations Committee, are tasked with trying to gather advice, connections, ideas, monetary help, pictures, you name it to help us make the 2015 Centennial NCGE meeting in DC a very special event. This blog topic will be used for us the begin that process.
To get us oriented, I have sent you all a Google Spreadsheet of what appears to be the best available data on past presidents dating back to 1980. Thanks to Zach Dulli for providing this information. I'd like to think about possibly dividing up this list of past presidents among us to contact them, but I think we might want to discuss how we might approach them and what we might want to ask prior to doing that.
Please let me know your thoughts here.
Mike
If our task is to try to gather advice, connections, ideas, monetary help, and pictures, I would think a start would be to ask the past presidents for advice, connections and ideas. Perhaps we could design a brief questionnaire...what is a personal and/or organizational highlight or milestone experienced during your term?
ReplyDeleteMonetary help and pictures are another category. If monetary help is needed, the entire NCGE membership needs to be tapped. (one thought) I wonder if the NCGE office has a file of photos from ‘way back??’
I like the idea of having a special session in San Marcos for past presidents. If we need a jump-start we could email the questionnaire in advance.

Hi Marilyn,
ReplyDeleteNice idea. How do the others feel?
